The capability of writing is more significant than the power of hatred and war. Pen is a tool used by the brain, hands, and the imagination to copy and physically transform lifeless ink into expressions of our minds and hearts. It shapes and presents something valuable into the readers. Our thoughts bring structure to the vast inner world of fragmented emotions and thoughts that goes on in our hearts and minds. The power of writing creates a charm. The pen can be used to display public opinions and views too as well as gain great insights into ourselves-our strengths, weakness, ambitions, and obstacles which is a step towards personal growth and development. It is one of the roads to self-discovery. The primary goal of writing is to relate one’s mind with another and convince the reader to take up writer’s views, though the reader is free to hold his views and may either agree or differ with the author. So, the pen symbolizes friendly means of generating ideas. The power of Writer’s pen, the ideas and opinions that transpire through that pen have transported men from Brutality to Compassion.
A pen is always compared with Sword. Power of pen is greater than sword as a war always ends in miseries and destruction, whereas writing is a boon to humankind. When new ideas influence people, changes occur in society.
“The pen is mightier than the sword” a very famous proverb help us to understand that violence cannot change views or beliefs, one has to communicate through their writing to understand the mind and heart of the people. While the energy of the sword ends with failure, sacrifice and loss, the pen brings in motive, impulse and growth to the soul.
